Newscasters are doing it too. Advertising voice-overs use the pop-culture female growl. Any time that a woman or girl is interviewed on the news, we hear the gravel-voiced, guttural grunting. It is now a chore listening to most American women speak. Who started this raunchy way of talking? Do they all strive to sound like the Kardashians?
